Cleaning Campaign in CSC

Under the leadership of our new Infrastructure Development Manger Mr. Robat Lepcha we had a mass cleaning campaign in our Activity Center. We did a through cleaning of our Activity Center, from moping of the floor till the removing of the cob webs all the students were engaged fully in making the campaign a successful one. We are very blessed to have such dedicated members who are very eager to serve the Lord in every ways possible. Ours members didn't even mind to carry water from far off place to the Activity Center as we wet washed the rooms. Though not all the students were present because some of them had classes and tuitions but those who were available was all present.

With some refreshment after the cleaning all of us left for our home. We had a blessed day. We give thanks to the Lord who gathered us there with one heart and we appreciate our Infrastructure Development Manager's initiative in motivating the members for the day.

Outreach Program

Today 24th of April 2011 we had our long awaited outreach Program in a place called Hatta (Rimbik). We were 15 members in total including three Life-Net members. We hired two cabs for the day. We did this outreach in association with H.F.C of that place in which one of our student leader is a present member. The place where we had the program was nearly 3 hours of journey in cab from Darjeeling and then about 1 hr walk up hill from the road (there is no road to that place). This place do not even even electricity so we had to work on batteries, we the team had taken all the music instruments (even drum set) from the Connection itself. So almost all the team members had to carry the instruments up hill to the place and back to the cab.

Despite the tiresome journey on foot and cab we did had a blessed time. In fact this was first of a kind we the Darjeeling CSC ever had till now. It was great experience and adventure for all the team members. We all enjoyed sharing the Chrsit we have recived with the people over there and we also celebrated the joy Easter with them. We represented ourselves as Darjeeling CSC as we greeted them and shared about our visions. We did get lots of support from the Church as they even provided us with lunch and refreshments.

After the program we all walked back till the road and came back home in the cab. We reached Darjeeling at around 8:00 pm. We did enjoyed the day!!!

Saturday Fellowship 23rd April

Today the fellowship was conducted by Miss. Mahima Rai and it was her first time but it was blessing to see her do the conduct so boldly and confidently. The Word of God was delivered by Mr. Akash Sonar and the Praise and Worship was led by Mr. Sabit Thapa. Altogether we had a blessed time. Life-Net members like Miss. Minuka,(Came all the way from Jorbunglow) Mr. Titus Mukhia and Ccir were also present.

Today we officially declared the new student body nomiees whose post was vacant for long. The new responsibilities and the person to whom the duty is being given are as follows:

Miss. Amina Subba (formally Library Incharge): Prayer Co-ordinator
Miss. Mahima Rai: Library Incharge
Miss. Elina Rai: Mess Manager
Mr. Robat Lepcha: Infrastructure Development Manager
Mr. Milan Gurung: Net-Working Co-ordinator

We the team was very encouraged to see these leaders take the responsibilities very seriously as some of them even started to workout with their duties right after the fellowship.

We wish them all, all the success as they take up these responsibilities.

The work outs...

First of all we the Darjeeling and Kalimpong C.S.C would like to wish you all staffs, Life-Net members a blessed Good Friday.

Today after our respective church services we all the members of the Darjeeling C.S.C members gathered in the Activity Center for the practice. We are taking about 6 solo songs (new members like Rachel, Mahima, Milan are singing), a skit, two group songs and a dance. All these may seem that we are going off the track from our movement but that is not true. Our goal is to involve as many new members through this practice and even giving them the opportunity to perform in the program,  and the good news is we already have two new in fact, very new faces who are involved with us very actively......we have yet not forgot the goal!!!

All the arrangements for the day has been made by the Church that has called us for the outreach. We'll be going and returning back the same day.

Remember us all in your prayers.

Saturday Fellowship 16th April

For the first time in the history of our connection we had our fellowship at 10am this saturday because almost all the student members had to leave for their respective places for the vote poll by afternoon in our usual fellowship time. Its was quite a encouraging moment to see our students gathering for the fellowship even early morning though most of them live far away.

Our new member brother Tshewang conducted the felowhip (It was his first time), brother Abishek was in worship and sister Amina Subba delivered the word of God (Her first time).

Though it was their first time but we all had a blessed time in the presence of the God having a wonderful fellowship. After the fellowship and the refreshments all of us moved for our home town for the poll. We are now away till Tuesday when we all once again meet for the practice and meetings.

Updates

We the Darjeeling C.S.C team bring into notice to all the Life-Net members and our loved ones that very soon (Probably next Saturday) we are going to nominate few other committee members with the designation Net-Work Coordinator (would look after networking activities among the team with other teams and ministry partners), Activity Mesh Manager(would look after all the mesh activity related with the connection), Infrastructure development In charge(Would focus in improving the infrastructure of the Activity Centre), Prayer Coordinator(would look after the Connection’s Spiritual health and wellbeing) and Library In charge (Former In charge will be shifted to other post). The Team has already decided the individuals to whom the responsibility will be bestowed but yet still the names have not been declared officially to the Connection members. Though we have let know the nominees about their election and asked them to prepare themselves with prayer to take the opportunity of serving the Lord with the zeal as they always had.

We request you all to please pray for all of them as they take the responsibility.

Practise

We the students of Darjeeling C.S.C are having practice every three days a week for the 24th April’s Outreach program in Ringtong. It is just another way of attracting new students in the connection as they get chance to participate in the practices and the outreach.  It is going to be a single day out reach program. So far there has not been a single gospel program or any sort of outreach program in this village so this is for the first time. The pastor and the believers in this small village are very anxious and excited as we the connection’s students agreed to help them in the outreach.

Its our sincere request to all our loved and dear ones to uphold us and the program’s schedules in your prayers. Your prayers are the base of our success in this program as it has always been so far.

We shall give you all the report as the program comes to pass the date.

Saturday Fellowship

Today we had our regular fellowship in our activity center at the usual time. Many new students were present with brother Millan who is a new member in our C.S.C had the conduct. He is a new believer who has accepted Christ last year after coming to C.S.C. He was discipled by our student leader Mr. Pawan Thapa, our Staff, Mr. Amir Gurung and presently in guide of Mr. Kismat Rai. We also had our new believer brothers Abishek and Bopal and Indra who has also received Christ after coming to C.S.C. They are very regular in the connection with great zeal for serving the Lord and presently they are the active member of our Connection here in Darjeeling.

Its is our sincere request to all that you do please remember them in your prayers because their family are yet not saved in Christ.

After the fellowship our LIFE NET member Mr. Pravat Titus Mukhia as usual gave guitar classes to our junior brother and sisters of the C.S.C family. Presently Miss. Amina Subba, Miss Mamta Rai (new believer-the fruit of the gospel program we had last year), Miss. Ellina Subba and Mr. Robat Lepcha are taking Basic classes.

We also have him giving advance guitar classes to other members who know to basics like Mr. Abishek, Mr. Millan etc before the fellowship time. This activity is just a Relation building phase of the Connection and a way to attract new members, to whom we can share and follow. So far with the grace of God its productivity is rich.
